Our General Terms and Conditions (GTC) form part of the accommodation contract concluded between our guests and us. The General Terms and Conditions essentially represent house rules, explain how the puzzle room is used and the exclusion of liability, and describe the booking process and payment. With your booking you accept these terms and conditions. In detail, the following rights and obligations result from it:

1. Booking:

In order to make a booking, we need the information requested from you in the contact form, since we are obliged under the Federal Registration Act to register our guests using a registration form. You will receive a booking confirmation from us by email or WhatsApp. The guest is obliged to check the booking confirmation for accuracy. Our possible terms of payment can be found on the booking confirmation. Of cause personal arrangements are possible at any time.

2. Payment:

The payment of the total amount is to be transferred to the specified account up to 7 days before the start of the booking or to be paid via PayPal. Wecannotacceptcredit cards, debit cards or checks.

Provision:

The landlord undertakes to provide the guest with theRätselhause (puzzle house) in perfect condition according to the description. The keysarehanded over independently via an attached, code-secured key box. The code for access will be sent via WhatsApp on the day of arrival.

3.1 Provision of puzzle room:

The landlord makes the puzzle room available to guests of the puzzle house free of charge. This additional provisioncan be seen, such as a billiard room or a sauna. If the puzzle room is not available for maintenance purposes or if parts do not work properly, the guest has no right to compensation or further usage rights.

4. Arrival and departure:

The puzzle house is available from 4 p.m. on the day of arrival. Departure mustbeno later than 11:00 a.m. to allow cleaning for the next guests. On days when we do not have a change of guests, the departure can also be arranged individually. If you need anything, please contact us via WhatsApp.

5. Pets:

Pets are not allowed to be taken along or accommodated in the puzzle house.

6. Smoking:

Smoking is not allowed in the puzzle house.

7. Final cleaning:

The rental price includes the final cleaning. We would like to ask you to leave the puzzle house in a tidy condition. This includeswashingthe dishes and separating and disposing of your waste in the containers provided.

8. Liability:

The tenant and his companions are fully liable for the damage caused to the inventory and the puzzle house. Damage mustbereported to the landlord immediately and can usually be settled through private liability insurance.

8.1. Disclaimer puzzle room:

Guests using the puzzle room acknowledge that they understand that use may require a certain amount of physical activity and exertion, that they cannot anticipate all guest actions and take safety measures against any risk of injury, and that guests are responsible for their own safety. It is in their own interest not to take any unforeseeable risks. The guestsdeclarethat they are aware of the risks of such use and that they accept them voluntarily. The guests confirm that they release the landlord from any liability.

9. Early Departure:

In the event of early departure, there is no entitlement to a refund of the rental price. However, we will try to rent the accommodation to someone else and offset the income accordingly.

10. Price reduction:

There is no entitlement to a price reduction in the event of a short-term failure of furnishings, public utilities or force majeure. Defects in the puzzle house are to be reported to the landlord immediately. The guest grants the landlord a period of 36 hours to remedy the defects. Later complaints will not be accepted and cannot be offset.

11. Rest periods:

We would like to ask you to observe the public rest periods such as lunch, night and Sunday rest. Out of consideration for others, silence should also be kept in the puzzle house between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.

12. House rules:

In urgent circumstances, it may be necessary for the landlord to enter the puzzle house without the knowledge of the guest.

13. Termination:

The landlord is entitled to withdraw from the contract for an objectively justifiable reason or to terminate it extraordinarily if e.g. (1) force majeure or other circumstances for which the landlord is not responsible make it impossible to fulfill the contract, (2) the puzzle house was booked with misleading or incorrect information on essential facts. E.g. false information regarding the person of the guest, the purpose of the occupancy or regarding the accommodation of animals. (3) the puzzle house is used for purposes other than residential, (4) the landlord has reasonable grounds to assume that the use of the performance endangers the safety or peace of other guests or neighbors or the reputation of the landlord in public without this being attributable to the landlord’s sphere of control or organization. (5) the General Terms and Conditions are violated by the tenant. The landlord must inform the guest immediately of the exercise of the right of withdrawal or termination. The landlord must immediately reimburse any rental payments already made. In the event of justified withdrawal or justified termination by the landlord in accordance with points (2) to (5), the guest is not entitled to compensation. The guest has to compensate the landlord for all damages for which he is responsible due to a withdrawal or an extraordinary termination.

14. Severability Clause:

Should one of the rental conditions described above be legally invalid, it will be replaced by a regulation that comes closest to the meaning. The other rental conditions remain unaffected and continue to apply.
